Antique Gun

A Small 3D Environment inspired by RDR 2 and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.

This project features a highly detailed 3D model of an Engraved flintlock-style gun, with a Rich Environment that combines elegance, nostalgia, and subtle storytelling through props and mood.

The engraving designs were crafted in Adobe Illustrator. Modelling of both High and Low Poly was done using Autodesk Maya. Texturing and material work, including the engraving details were done in Substance 3D Painter.

To showcase this weapon, I focused on creating a compelling environment by planning the key assets, lighting, and mood to tell a subtle story: a Royal’s desk, rich with personality and history. From the aged documents and smoking cigarette to the glass of whisky and vintage pocket watch, each element was chosen to breathe life into the scene.

Set dressing and layout were done in Blender, and the final image was rendered using Blender’s Cycles renderer.

Whose portrait is that on the wall, you might ask? That’s actually my dad.

This project was an exploration of storytelling through environment design, and I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoyed bringing it to life.
